Emphasizing Your Living Room with Ceiling Fans

Living rooms are one of the rooms where you spend a lot of your leisure time with your family and friends. It is the hub of the family’s activities- TV watching, homework doing, game playing, project making. It is the great room where it all happens.

Decorating your living room with ceilings fans exceed using it because it can tweak the overall design of the room. You should not forget the ceiling fan’s function. Any room will be too hot to spent time in when there is no decent ventialtion. This is when ceiling fans come very significant for living rooms other than their designs and lamps. Ceiling fans can cool the air around your living room, especially when there will be many people crowding like during parties and any other gatherings.

Another factor to consider when installing a ceiling fan in your living room is safety. Only decide to purchase those units from leading brands and trusted companies that are recognized to have produced most appropriate performing products. Ceiling fans with high revolutions per minute or rpm are not necessarily the best and the safest. Don’t be deceived by their rpm. Several ceiling fan companies are producing fans with second rate motors and you need to be very careful about this. The ceiling fan should be mounted at the center of the room. It should be seven feet above the floor and at least 18 inches away from the wall for safety. If the ceiling height permits, you should mount the fan 8 to 9 feet from the floor for optimum flow of air.

Safety as well as the individual design should be the first two factors to take into account when choosing ceiling fans for your living room. Your ceiling fans shouldn’t pose a threat to your family and should never create an undesirable contrast in your living room.
